Getting the New FAC up and Running

 Well, it's been a hectic few weeks getting the new For A Change Online website ready, while being involved in planning and running a major international conference in Melbourne. And on top of that we were moving house over the Christmas / New Year period. Mad? Almost certainly!
The conference "Australia as a neighbour" (www.au.iofc.org/conferences/melbconf) starts tomorrow, and it is encouraging that many have registered having heard about the conference through an email circulated through one of various networks. This demonstrates the power of the internet and is one of the reasons I am also passionate for this online magazine.
Mike Lowe is the editor of the global website of Initiatives of Change. His varied career has included teaching English in Poland, running training programs for young leaders in Eastern Europe ( www.f-4-f.org), working in psychiatric hospitals and developing a 'Discover the Other' program. He currently lives in Melbourne Australia. |
